What to look for on an R34
Check the auction sheet for repair marks around the front chassis rails, inner arches and rear quarters — the R34 is a car that has often been modified, tracked or repaired, and the sheet diagram records the panel-by-panel assessment made in Japan.
On GT-T and GT-R cars, ask what has been done to the engine and whether the boost, ECU and fuelling are documented. We list every known modification on the vehicle page rather than describing a car simply as 'tuned'.
Importing an R34 into the UK
Cars over ten years old clear DVLA registration without an IVA test in most cases, but they still need customs clearance, duty and VAT, a UK MOT and correct lighting. We complete all of that before handover.
You receive the export certificate, de-registration papers, the translated auction sheet and our own written condition report with the car.
