Process
How we import
Six stages from Japanese auction hall to your driveway, with a named contact throughout.
1. Brief and budget
We agree the exact specification, acceptable auction grades, maximum landed budget and any deal-breakers such as accident repair history or aftermarket modification.
2. Sourcing and bidding
Our agents in Japan inspect shortlisted lots in person where possible and send photographs and translated sheets before any bid is placed. You approve every bid ceiling in writing.
3. Export and shipping
Once won, the car is de-registered for export and moved to port. Roll-on roll-off or container shipping typically takes six to ten weeks to a UK port.
4. Customs and duty
We clear customs and pay import duty and VAT. These figures are quoted in your original landed-cost estimate so there are no surprises.
5. Registration
IVA or Mutual Recognition as applicable, then DVLA registration and issue of a UK plate and V5C.
6. Preparation and handover
Full service, MOT, safety inspection, detail and a written condition report. Delivered on covered transport or collected from us.
